This Cache was placed by Christ Church Darley Scouts.
This is the first cache in what we hope will grow into a full series of caches along the river Nidd.
The cache is a small clip-lock box containing the log and some trinkets for trading.
Nidderdale is a beautiful area with so many enjoyable walks and intersting locations, we hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
This cache location needs very little explaination, although we are amazed by the quality of workmanship and engineering that has helped this feature look good as new so long after being decomissioned.
The last scheduled passenger train ran on 31 March 1951 but the line remained open for goods until 30 October 1964.
