Geocache Description:


This is a 2 stage multi cache with on road parking available.
Brompton on Swale War Memorial is in the local cemetery and made of rough hewn grey granite. The base supports a tapered pillar surmounted by a Celtic Cross. The front face of the base caries the names 11 men who fell in the First World War and the rear face carries the names of a further 11, including one woman, who fell in the Second World War. The memorial is dedicated, on the face:-
To The Glory Of God
This Cross is Erected in Thankful
Remembrance Of The Following who
Made The Supreme Sacrifice In The
Great European War
1914 - 1918
Followed by 11 Names
And on the rear :-
Also To Those Who
Gave their Lives In The
Second World War
1939 - 1945
Followed by 11 Names
Go to the memorial to get the numbers for the final which is a short walk away.
The cache can be found at N54° 23.MNO  W001° 39.PQR  where -

M = Number of letters in the surname of the first hero of WW1 
N = Last digit of the year WW2 began  
O = Number of letters in the surname of WW2 hero James H. 
P = Number of letters in the only female Christian name listed ; 
Q = Number of letters in the surname of WW2 hero Lawrence
R = Number of WW1 heroes with the surname Brown  

Checksum =  31
