Geocache Description:

Three teachers from the same school district came to South Bass Island in 1998 to escape from their husbands and children. This year marks our 20th anniversary. Throughout the years, we have seen many changes happen on the island and met many people who became lifelong friends. It was here that we were introduced to geocaching by pibteach and it seems only fitting that we place a cache here to commerate our anniversary. Cooper’s Woods would be the ideal place and help in the efforts to prevent future land development. Start by parking at Mother of Sorrow’s Catholic Church and proceed to the trail start at the back of the parking lot. Enjoy the beauty of the woods as you stay on the path leading to the cache. Beware of poison ivy along the way! Please return the cache to the exact spot you found it in. You may want to bring a pen even though one is provided and plenty of swag for exchanges.
