Geocache Description:

The cache is located in the Crow Creek WMA. In the summer, you will encounter bugs, ticks, thorns and weeds. In the winter you will encounter hunters, so wear blaze orange if attempting during this time. Please cache safely and to your abilities and obey the posted hours. Bring a trash bag with you to collect any garbage along the trail and do your part to keep this place clean.

IMPORTANT: READ THIS! To access this cache you will need to cross Crow Creek. It may require wading depending on the water level. See the waypoint for one possible and relatively shallow spot. However, if you choose to cross there, I would strongly suggest you not cut straight north, instead follow the treeline for a bit. There are no trails on this side of the creek and there is a dry creek bed that is completely obscured by the tall matted grass. I know this because I fell in! It's about a six foot drop and you could seriously injure yourself if you land wrong. If you do cross the field use extreme caution and take a walking stick to check the ground ahead of you. Do not attempt to access this cache via the Mount Joy Mobile Home park, that is private property.

Challenge Requirements
The cache is at the posted coordinates. You may sign the log at any time, but to post a "found it" log you must meet the requirements of the challenge. To qualify.....get ready.....you must find 5 caches in Iowa and 5 caches in Illinois. That's it!

Per Groundspeak guideline 2.12.6, the QCAC member placing this cache (hempmage) qualifies for this challenge with thousands of finds in both states.

**Cache at your own risk**

Geocaching, hiking, backpacking and other outdoor activities involve risk to both persons and property. There are many variables including, but not limited to, weather, fitness level, terrain features and outdoor experience, that must be considered prior to seeking a Cache. Be prepared for your journey and be sure to check the current weather and conditions before heading outdoors. Always exercise common sense and caution.
**Remember to be good ambassadors to nature. We as geocachers have a responsibility to leave it as we found it, so others may enjoy nature's glory. Always replace the cache the way you found it, so others may enjoy the find.
