The Angels and Demons series has been developed to cater to all caching skill levels. There is something for everybody on this route; simplistic finds for those starting out, and more challenging ones for the more experienced cacher. There is also a variety of cache types, so that those that enjoy a particular cache type might find a favourite one here, whilst those that do not enjoy certain caches won't see too many of them to do! It is also very good for less experienced cachers to get to grips with a new type of cache whilst finding many more that they are familiar with in the same route.
The caches are structured so that there won't be too many of the same type of cache back to back either, mixing it up for you along the route. Although the series has been designed to be completed in one run, it is perfectly possible to pick up bits and come back on a different day for more of a challenge if you would rather. We have labelled each cache as either an angel or a demon, too, so as to help guide any cacher in what they can expect from that cache! Not all of the angels will be simple, but they will still be easier than the demons so pick your fights wisely!
The series is best enjoyed by walking, although every cache has purposefully been placed close to the roadside to make it possible for completing the route by car. A lot of the caches will require precision which only walking can achieve (such as the Wherigos), but we have tried to make this series possible for all to complete by their chosen method. On a nice day these quiet back roads can be a very pleasant walk though, and so this method is recommended by us.
This multicache does not have anything hidden at the headline co-ordinates, so please do not search there. Instead, answer each of the following questions at the various waypoints presented to find the final co-ordinates. Note that this is the first demon rated cache of the series. Although gathering the co-ordinates may be very easy, retrieving the final find will be more challenging.
At the headline co-ordinates, how many gateways can you see? = A
At the second waypoint, how many pointed wooden gate panels are there? = B
At the third waypoint, look up at the top of the large barn and you will see a yellow sign with one word upon it. How many letters make up the word? = C
At the fourth waypoint you will see a roadsign, and a yellow hydrant sign attached to the same post. What number is at the BOTTOM of this yellow H? = D
The final for this cache can be located by calculating:
N050 25.(D - C - 1)(C)(A)
W004 48.(C)(D - B)(A - A)
The final cache is a black metal tube. Please do not remove the tube from its position. Be kind to cachers following you and leave the log close to the top of the tube!
