Nopales Southern Lowlands is located in the southern section of the trail and is about the same distance from either trailhead. The cache is not far from where the trail climbs to Nopales Ridge where some of the best views along the trail can be found. This area is covered in both cactus, mesquite trees and tall grasses. There is a bench for resting just to the west of the cache near the bottom of the ridge. Again, keep your eyes peeled for wildlife as you walk this grassy lowland area of the park. No room for swag or trackables here. Bring a writing utinsel. Happy caching and enjoy all of Lake Brownwood State Park.
