...Landslide that is.
Blue Lake Road was closed for quite some time, first due to construction and then due to risk of landslides. In honor of the road re-opening I decided to hide a cache in my favorite spot to stop and cool down in memory of the times I had to hike up the road rather than drive. This should now be an easy park and grab as there is a spot to pull off the road right across from this cache.
Be careful during retrieval as the hill leading to the cache's hiding spot may cause a bit of slip and sliding as well. After you find this cache, head on up the road and see if you can't find the oldest cache in Alaska!
Now that this road is open to traffic again, it is a high traffic area, so try to watch out for muggles. Hopefully they'll think you just stopped to cool off.
