One Mile is a cache located near the Park Entry along the Nopales Ridge Trail. As the name suggests, the cache is located near the one mile marker on the trail as marked from the main trailhead. The cache is about 0.1 miles from the parking lot at the park entry and ranger station. If you do not want to hike the entire 3 mile trail then try the 1 mile from hear to the main trailhead. You get to walk down form the rocky edges of Nopales Ridge where you will find some nice views of distant plateaus. Look for deer as you reach the bottom of the ridge and continue along the relatively flat remaining portion of the hike.
This is a regular size ammo box so plenty of room for swag and trackables. I believe this is the easiest to access cache in the park so if you are looking for an easy park and grab or just want to drop off or trade trackables this would be a good one to find. Watch your head as you go after this one and as always keep a sharp eye out for prickly plants and snakes. Please make sure the lid is closed properly so as to keep the contents dry. Please place the container as it was found and cover with a piece of bark or something to keep it a little more hidden.
