Long ago, Uuesley started holding the last-Wednesday-of-the-month geo-get-togethers, and the tradition has held strong. If you’re in ABQ on the last Wednesday of any month, you’ll find a bunch of local geocachers here in the back room of Mario’s on the east side of 4th street, just north of Montano.
People seem to start showing up at about 4:30, and we are generally finished and on our way by 6:00 pm. You’ll find good salads, pizza, pasta dishes, wine, beer, and soft drinks on the menu, but, of course, purchasing anything is optional.
This month, there’ll be a game or 2, with prizes (mostly, my geocaching stash o’ stuff), which will start at 5:15.
I’m sure we’ll be hearing more about the Picnic in the Pines Event; if there’s anything else that needs a celebration or to be mentioned, please let me know, and we’ll include it in this July meet-n-greet.
