Uno degli obiettivi principali di quasi tutti i geocacher, anche quelli che danno poca importanza alle statistiche, è l’ingresso nel cosiddetto “Comma Club”, il Club della Virgola, cioè riuscire a trovare un totale di 1.000 cache, in modo che il contatore sul sito mostri anche una virgola per separare la cifra delle migliaia dalle altre tre.
Trovare 1.000 cache è un traguardo decisamente importante: ci vuole costanza nel cercare molte cache; ci vuole impegno e disponibilità a muoversi parecchio, perché presto o tardi bisognerà spostarsi per cercare ulteriori cache, quando si saranno trovate tutte quelle nella propria zona; ma soprattutto, ci vuole pazienza, perché non si può pensare di raggiungere questo traguardo in poco tempo!
C’è chi arrivato a 1.000 pensa già alle 2.000, c’è chi (come me) se ne accorge una settimana dopo quando sta loggando le cache fatte in vacanza, c’è chi si prepara in modo da loggare una cache particolarmente bella come millesima e c’è anche chi organizza un evento apposta per festeggiare il traguardo raggiunto! In ogni caso questo obiettivo è quello che ti fa capire che ormai il Geocaching ti ha preso e che non ne uscirai più!
Questa challenge è riservata a tutti i geocacher che possono considerarsi membri del “Comma Club”, ovvero che hanno un totale di 1.000 o più ritrovamenti. Valgono tutti i tipi di cache, incluse quelle per cui non si logga un vero e proprio found, come gli Event, le Webcam, o le Lab. Potete usare il checker qui sotto per vedere se rientrate nei parametri necessari per loggare. Tutti i geocacher che non hanno ancora raggiunto le 1.000 possono loggare con una Nota e trasformarla in Found una volta che avranno fatto il loro ingresso nel Club. One of the main goals of almost every geocachers, even those who give no importance to numbers and statistics, is the admission to the “Comma Club”, by finding a total of 1,000 caches, so that the counter on the website will display a comma to separate the thousands from the other three digits.
Finding 1,000 caches is a very important milestone: you will need the constancy to find a lot of caches; you will need commitment and willingness to travel, as soon or later you will have to travel, once you’ve already found all the caches in your area; but most of all, you will need patience, because you can’t expect to reach this goal in a short amount of time!
There are those who, once they get to 1,000, are already thinking about the 2,000th milestone, there are those (like me) who notice their milestone only one week later, when they’re logging the caches found on a holiday trip, there are those who get prepared so that they can log a particular cache as 1,000th, and there are even those who organize an event specifically to celebrate the goal achieved! Anyway, this goal will make you realize you’re now hooked to Geocaching and you can’t give up anymore!
This challenge is reserved for those geocachers who are already members of the “Comma Club”, i.e. those who have a total of 1,000 found logs or more. All types of caches are valid, even those which you don’t log as "found", such as Events, Webcams or Lab caches. You can use the checker above to see if you satisfy the requirements to log. The geocachers that haven’t reached 1,000 yet can log a Write Note and change it into a Found It once they have entered the Club. The cache is at posted coordinates.
