Geocache Description:

The Yak-54

Wingspan - 41"

Length - 36"

Weight - 25 0z.

This is a radio control scale model of the Yakolev- Yak 54, a 1990's Russian aerobatic and sport competition full size aircraft

These sometimes small and light planes are often called "Park Flyers". Made of balsa or foam and having a electric motor, they are relatively quieter, weigh less and are able to fly in a smaller area like some neighborhood parks without irritating nearby residents. The best times to fly these Park Flyers are in the early mornings when the winds are calm or slightly blowing with perhaps little or no muggles.

This is 1 of 10 caches in this "Come Fly With Me" series. There will be 9 traditional caches. SAVE the numbers on the logs to solve the final cache coordinates.

Halawa District Park

This is a nice park to fly at when there are no softball or baseball games going on. You can use the baseball base paths as take-off and landing strips. You can also hand launch and do grass landings.Watch out for those big trees on the east side. Don't fly if there are mugles in the flying area.

BYOP Congratulations to Skotlee for the FTF
