The title “lig do scíth” is an Irish saying, it directly translates to: take your rest. I was inspired to place this cache in this spot when i was up walking one evening and although i was glancing out at the view i was more focused on my walk. As i approach there was a lady just sitting cross legged at this spot happily taking in the view and it reminded me we should all take the time to just relax and enjoy the view a bit more so hopefully you will too. This cache is placed along the Maiden castle section of the sandstone trail (https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/alderley-edge-and-cheshire-countryside/documents/a-circular-walk-around-maiden-castle-bickerton-cheshire.pdf) This area is all national trust conservation land and in 2010 they undertook a project to restore the land to heathland. This involved clearing trees to encourage the spread of the natural heather. As part of this project in the summer months there are cows grazing on this land so be aware you might meet them on the trail and please keep dogs on their leads. The cache itself is a small film container type and my best advice would be to take a seat on the rock and just relax have a think about it, your within reaching distance of your goals.
