I have spent a bit of time recently up on Ilkley Moor looking at the geology and placing some EarthCaches, namely for the Mega, in particular the event on Yorkshire Day in August. I am at work that day, and have had a number of people mentioning they can never find any fossils or geology. So this is an attempt to address that.
On the 20th July, I shall be at this stone for 30 mins from 1900 - 1930. Come along, talk caching, let me show you a fossil here, swap trackables or just have some banter. Afterwards I will be going for a walk around some geological sites whilst the sun starts to set so if anyone wants to join me, you are welcome to come along, but the walk is not part of the event.
