On 6-14-18 the Fee Fee Greenway was officially opened. It is a 2.7 mile hiking/biking trail that runs from the Maryland Heights Aquaport down to Creve Coeur Lake and Park. The Aquaport Trailhead is at the Entrance to the Aquaport Parking Lot. From there the trail heads North a short distance along the sidewalk before descending to Fee Fee Creek. The Creve Coeur Lake Trailhead is at the Disc Golf Parking Lot by the lake. This cache can be approached from either end of the trail. It is closer to the Aquaport Trailhead, and the terrain is flatter from this approach as well. The cache is about 40 feet from a picnic table. The table is at the end of a short path on the North side of the Fee Fee Greenway.
This Phase II cache is near the junction of the new Phase II trail with the old Phase I trail that was completed about four years ago. The Phase I trail started at Aquaport and went 0.8 miles along Fee Fee creek. It was called the McKelvey Woods Trail at that time. The McKelvey Woods Trail name has now been changed to Fee Fee Greenway to reflect the combined Phase I and Phase II trails that extend from the Aquaport to Creve Coeur Lake. In 2014 when the Phase I trail was still called the McKelvey Woods Trail, a number of caches were placed along it. They still have McKelvey Woods as part of their cache name.

NOTICE: Please be respectful of the posted park hours. If you enter the park after hours you are trespassing. If you are stopped you can be ticketed or arrested and will put the future of geocaching in the parks in jeopardy. Specialpermission to hide caches in St. Louis County parks is NOT needed as long as the Groundspeak rules are followed. "Blanket Permission" has been worked out in advance with the park service. DO NOT CALL THE PARK as they cannot handle the calls. The Groundspeak cache reviewer does need to know exactly how and where the caches are hidden and what type of containers are used. The geocaching liaisons will notify the park service of new caches. Remember NO AMMO BOXES or PVC PIPE caches.
