cyclops53: Lots of clearing, cable laying etc being done along the highway into Mackenzie making it dangerous for cachers to be searching for finds! Could take a year (or more) to complete. Will replace with a new cache in the area when practical!

Cache is a sandwich-size lock 'n lock! I decided to name this cache while looking for new cache locations on Canada Day 2018! There is ample parking within 50 metres of the cache just off the highway. As you drive throughout northern BC, you will see a number of fairly recent clearcuts along the roads. In the mid 2000's, the region was severely affected by an epidemic of Mountain Pine Beetles that devasted local forest economies. Clear cutting was the most effective way to deal with the infestation. Forest regeneration is taking place throughout the north.
