The US Forest Service tribute geoart

This 212 cache geoart is a tribute to the tireless, selfless efforst of the men and women who serve our nation in the Forest Service.

The Tree Section

Each of the 34 traditional caches in the tree section is a preform container hidden at the posted coordinates and is named for a family of trees that can be found in the many varied forests of the United States of America.

The US Section

Each of the 44 Multi-caches in the US section is a preform container hidden at a second stage near the first stage at the posted coordinates. The coordinates for the second stage are found at the first stage engraved on a dog tag. These caches are named for a notable person, event , policy or work of the US Forest service.

The Shield Section

Each of the 134 Wherigo caches in the shield section is a play anywhere Wherigo cartridge that provides the final coordinates which are located within two miles of the posted coordinates. These caches are named for the national forest in the US Forest Service program and play trivia games with questions about the forests and the forest service.

Placement

This geoart is being released a few caches at a time, as I place them rather than all at once at the end. When you see it, it might not be finished yet. A bookmark list of the completed caches will be provided.

Permission for placing these caches was obtained from the Poplar Bluff District Ranger for the Mark Twain National Forest.
