Some of us enjoy geocaching alone. Some of us enjoy geocaching in groups. Most of us should be able to say that even if we usually geocache alone, we've met plenty of "interesting" people along the way. Todd is one of the more "interesting" people I've met during my geocaching career.
I first met Todd back in September 2016 at a geocaching event that was set up in Seoul, South Korea to welcome none other than the geocaching internet sensation, Josh the geocaching vlogger. (link). Todd was a very new geocacher at that time, and I think this event was his first. As a fellow American expat, he and I along with several other expats began geocaching together all over South Korea. Many fun times were had, and the friendship continues to this day even though I've now moved to the Hampton Roads area as of September of 2017.
When I noticed that there is a "Todd Lane" here on the peninsula I couldn't help but place a cache in homage of our friendship. Hopefully this cache, and this story make you think of some of the friends that you've made through this hobby. At the final event I attended before leaving South Korea, Todd gave me a bin full of different cache containers. This cache is one of the most unique containers from that bunch, and captures Todd's querky personality perfectly. This cache is so perfectly TODD! You'll see when you get there. It shouldn't be hard to find, but there is a trick to get to the logbook. Have fun!
This one's for you, Todd!
