We wanted to places geocaches in each of these cemeteries, but they are too close together to make individual ones, so we created an easy multi-cache.
Find step one and the coordinates for step 2 are in it. Solve the riddle for a hint about the actual final geocache! For step one there is absolutely no reason to even enter St. Catherine's Cemetery. If you do, check on our kin buried there. Sughroues, Ryans and Schuttes are very near to step one.
For step two you will need to enter the Indianola City Cemetery. Park your vehicle on the road and walk to the cache. The cache is not near any gravesites, so don't wander on them, unless you want to look at the really cool old headstones.
Be respectful, if there is a funeral, please come back another time. BYOP.
Here's the riddle that is in step one... ponder it while you search for step one.
In marble halls as white as milk, lined with a skin as soft as silk, within a fountain crystal-clear, a golden apple doth appear, no doors there are to this stronghold, yet thieves break in and steal the gold.
****not solving this riddle will NOT keep you from finding the 2nd part. It is just a little extra for those who like to solve riddles. When you find part two you’ll solve the riddle!! The coords will lead you right to it. Don’t claim as found unless you sign the log.
