This cache is hidden along a nice trail at the base of the Brilliant Overlook ridge. It appears to be an access trail for rock climbers. It starts along a power-line access road and ends at a junction with the Skattebo Reach Trail. Almost directly above the power transformer station there's a small cross trail that leads from the access road to where the climbers start their ascent,.
The Rock Garden Trail starts on the North end as a branch off the Skattebo Reach Trail [J1]. It crosses the powerline access road [J2] then continues through a rocky, forested area. A short rock climbing trail crosses [J3] once most of the rocks have been passed. That trail leaves the road by a firepit and goes past the forest onto the rockfall at the base of the cliffs. The Rock Garden Trail continues South past a spot [J4] where it looks like a future ATV trail is being built. The trail meets the access road [J5], which then goes into a forest before coming out to meet [J6] the McPhee Creek Road.
Clockwise: Go up the bank at the edge of the forest and go a bit to the right once you cross the sandy spot. There's a short rough trail through a bit of shrubbery to the firepit along the access road where the Rock Climbing Trail starts. Walk through the forest and come back along the access road.
Counter clockwise: Walk up the access road by the corner of the transformer station and continue southward to the first cache. The trail starts left into the forst just past this cache. The Rock Climbing Trail crosses not too far past the Rock Garden cache. Take that trail to the firepit then either drop down the bank or walk South a bit and take the access road down to the transformer station.
