Geocache Description:

I had never heard of a spicket before, but in July, AchBrent and Wright$ had their Webster Groves High School geocaching class and several of the students mentioned that there was one in the park. My first thought when I saw it was that the student didn't know how to spell, but after several more spelled it the same way I finally looked it up. Interesting etymology of the word.

Then I was in this area of the park and spotted another one, but very old and no longer in service. When the Bluebird of Happiness left the area, I remembered this spicket and placed a new cache here.

This is NOT a spicket! This is Donatello.

On 9/2 I replaced the cache and made it a bit harder to find, and a bit more creative. I am bumping the difficulty up a star also. That shouldn't mess up anybody's stats.

Warning

NOTICE: Please be respectful of the posted park hours. If you enter the park after hours you are trespassing. If you are stopped you can be ticketed or arrested and will put the future of geocaching in the parks in jeopardy.
Special permission to hide caches in St. Louis County parks is NOT needed as long as the Groundspeak rules are followed. "Blanket Permission" has been worked out in advance with the park service. DO NOT CALL THE PARK as they cannot handle the calls. The Groundspeak cache reviewer does need to know exactly how and where the caches are hidden and what type of containers are used. The geocaching liaisons will notify the park service of new caches. Remember NO AMMO BOXES or PVC PIPE caches.
