Opened in 2013, Kai Ching Estate is part of the gigantic Kai Tak Development area. More than 5000 families were thrilled to finally get off the Government waiting list for public housing and move into their new homes here, though serious questions concerning the quality of construction quickly came to public attenion. Most notably in 2015 when water samples were lead tainted water samples were found here. The lead water pipes were eventually replaced, but confidence and trust in the Government is justifiably not too high here.
The buildings are 35-40 stories tall and quite close together, thus making GPS fairly unreliable. Find your way to the small children's playground between Mun Ching House and Yuet Ching House. This is your GZ. Please note the cache is NOT located on any of the playground equipment, but rather where the adults wait for their kids to finish playing. See the spoiler pic for more details.
