Da Baita Rododendro a Sorgenti del Piave
[IT] Questa cache è pensata per farvi affrontare un itinerario che dalla Baita Rododendro (1461m) vi porterà al rifugio Sorgenti del Piave (1830m). La cache è nascosta circa a metà strada fra i due rifugi, in un punto panoramico la cui vista si apre sulle Dolomiti di Sappada e da dove si dipanano diversi percorsi, con ampia scelta fra Sorgenti del Piave, Casera Sesis, Val Visdende o Laghi d’Olbe.
Da Sappada si può arrivare alla Baita passando per il rifugio Piani del Cristo comodamente in auto, oppure a piedi se volete affrontare il percorso più lungo, seguendo un sentiero agevole e divertente che attraversa un bosco di abeti rossi, ricco di ruscelli e caratterizzato dalla presenza di curiose formazioni rocciose di calcari verdi lisci.
Da Cima Sappada si prende la strada che passa tra le case della borgata, sino al bivio per le sorgenti del Piave e per la Val Sesis (N 46° 34.150 E 012° 43.284) e si seguono le indicazioni per Sorgenti del Piave. Il Rifugio Piani del Cristo si trova a circa 10 minuti d’auto.
Se invece volete andare a piedi, da Cima Sappada, si prende la strada asfaltata che dalla Chiesa attraversa le case della borgata, e si percorre circa 1 km,fino alla stradina stretta laterale sinistra con indicazione "SORGENTI DEL PIAVE-VAL SESIS"; il sentiero s'accosta alla destra del torrente e risale lungo un percorso divertente che è stato di recente ripristinato con dei tronchi in legno per farvi attraversare i numerosi corsi d'acqua che vanno ad alimentare il Piave. Sarete attorniati da un paesaggio naturalistico molto suggestivo, caratterizzato dalla formazione rocciosa di calcari verdi lisci, dalle limpide acque del torrente; il profumo del bosco di abeti rossi, il silenzio, interrotto solo dal canto degli uccelli e dal Piave, renderanno molto piacevole questa facile escursione.
Dopo una breve rampa in salita, lungo scalini in legno che seguono la naturale pendenza del terreno, attraverserete la strada principale per poi immettervi, ancora sulla destra, su un sentiero che sfocia nel bel mezzo di sedimenti glaciali, dove scorre il Fiume Piave che offre degli scorci stupendi.
Si raggiunge quindi il Rifugio PIANI DEL CRISTO.
Il percorso è stato di recente attrezzato con dei tronchi, utilizzati per superare i numerosi corsi d’acqua affluenti del Piave.
Da Cima Sappada sono necessari 45 minuti a piedi per raggiungere il rifugio Piani del Cristo (N 46° 35.125 E 012° 43.631), mentre la Baita Rododendro è a 1 km da Piani del Cristo. Dalla Baita poi proseguite per 2km fino al sentiero che corre parallelo alla strada provinciale SP22 e che inizia a N 46° 36.464 E 012° 43.257. Seguite sempre le indicazioni per Rif. Sorgenti del Piave (CAI 136) e giungerete a GZ.
Se volete intraprendere il percorso più veloce, da Cima Sappada seguite sempre le indicazioni per Sorgenti del Piave al bivio (N 46° 34.150 E 012° 43.284), proseguite per circa 6km e parcheggiate l’auto nei pressi della Cappella della Madonna miracolosa (N 46° 36.495 E 012° 43.248): per riuscire ad arrivare a GZ dovete prendere il sentiero che corre parallelo alla strada provinciale SP22 e che inizia a N 46° 36.464 E 012° 43.257.
Seguite sempre le indicazioni per Rif. Sorgenti del Piave (CAI 136) e giungerete a GZ.
[EN] This cache is designed to take you on an itinerary that will take you from the Baita Rododendro (1461m) to the Sorgenti del Piave refuge (1830m). The cache is hidden about halfway between the two refuges, in a panoramic point whose view opens on the Sappada Dolomites and from where different paths unfold, with a wide choice between Sorgenti del Piave, Casera Sesis, Val Visdende or Laghi d 'Olbe.
- From Sappada you can get to the Baita via the Piani del Cristo shelter comfortably by car, or on foot if you want to tackle the longest route, following an easy and fun path that crosses a spruce forest, rich in streams and characterized by presence of curious rock formations of smooth green limestone.
From Cima Sappada take the road that passes between the houses of the village, up to the fork for the Piave springs and the Val Sesis (N 46 ° 34.150 E 012 ° 43.284) and follow the signs for Sorgenti del Piave. The Piani del Cristo Refuge is about a 10-minute drive away.
If you want to go on foot, from Cima Sappada, take the paved road that goes from the church through the houses of the village, and travel about 1 km, up to the narrow side street left with indication "SORGENTI DEL PIAVE-VAL SESIS"; the path goes to the right of the stream and goes back along a fun path that has recently been restored with wooden trunks to let you cross the numerous waterways that feed the Piave. You will be surrounded by a very suggestive natural landscape, characterized by the rocky formation of smooth green limestones, by the clear waters of the stream; the scent of the spruce forest, the silence, interrupted only by the birds and the Piave, will make this easy excursion very pleasant.
After a short uphill ramp, along wooden steps that follow the natural slope of the land, you will cross the main road and then enter, again on the right, on a path that flows into the middle of glacial sediments, where the Piave River flows beautiful views.
Then you reach the Rifugio PIANI DEL CRISTO.
The path has recently been equipped with logs, used to overcome the numerous tributaries of the Piave.
From Cima Sappada it takes a 45-minute walk to the Piani del Cristo refuge (N 46 ° 35.125 E 012 ° 43.631), while the Rododendro hut is 1 km from Piani del Cristo. From the Baita then continue for 2km until the path that runs parallel to the SP22 provincial road and starts at N 46 ° 36.464 E 012 ° 43.257. Always follow the signs for Rif.
