Chalvey Brook #4, Montem Park
The forth in this series of caches placed along Chalvey Brook which runs through the hart of Slough's parks and open spaces.
The Chalvey Brook (or Farnham Brook, as it is marked on maps of Farnham Royal parish) can be seen at Salt Hill, to the west of the Montem Mound and the Swan Inn. The brook was for centuries the boundary between the parishes of Upton-cum-Chalvey and Farnham Royal. It was not until 1930-31 that the sites of the famous Salt Hill coaching inns were brought within the boundaries of Slough, but Salt Hill has always been closely associated with Chalvey and Slough, especially during the coaching era.
Slough Leisure Center and Ice Arena are near by.
The Leisure Center will be moving to a new site on Farnham Road in the near future and The Ice Arena has recently had a multi-Million pound Refit
