TrailPGH, REI and Allegheny County Parks have set up 9 work days this summer and fall to take place in each of the county parks to do various amounts of trail maintenance. On Saturday, July 28th we will be meeting at the baneberry shelter, from 9 to 12. Parking is available near the shelter. The work day will have several activities planned from general maintenance to old metal drain removal and drain dips/ knicks installation. We will be broken up into several smaller groups to better tackle the days projects. Tools and gloves will be provided onsite. You will want to wear sturdy boots and probably long pants. Water will be provided as well. It doesn't matter what your skill level is, there will be something for everyone that shows up.
They are asking everyone to register with them through their website so they can have the correct number of tools, gloves, and tee-shirts available. At this moment the registration page is not up but I will list it in an announcement as soon as it is so we can all register. Hope to see a lot of you on July 28th to help out with this CITO.
