This cache is a memorial to our beloved 2017 Europe Music Tour, planted on the year anniversary of our return. It is named after the traditional folk tune Waltzing Matilda, of which we sang a beautiful arrangement by Ruth McCall: a prolific and talented Australian composer, conductor and musician.
We have chosen this location as a nod to one of our favourite destinations on the tour- Florence. The city of Florence, in Italy, is famous for its rich culture, historic art, and beautiful monuments; including Brunelleschis’ Duomo, Michelangelo’s David and the infamous red rooves of the city.
We also greatly enjoyed the over-sized (overpriced and extremely delicious) gelato, so when you're done be sure to pop up to Hornsby Westfield and grab an ice cream. Please replace as found, and keep an eye out for muggles! We hope you enjoy this cache :)
