This is the first cache that I have placed. I wanted to start with one that is great for families, so what better a place than a park?! This is also a very easy access for those Geocachers with strollers or even bring Grandma in the wheelchair out for a nice stroll!! My goal is to always keep this one filled with swag and trackables. There is a simple reward for the FTF and I also placed a new trackable to get things started! The park gate closes at dark unless there is a city game playing in the field late at night.
George S. Gerber Memorial Park
This park was named after former City Commissioner George S. Gerber. His wife Commissioner Marilyn Gerber, succeeded him after he passed away serving the community for 17 years before retiring in 2013. Gerber has athletic fields for permitting, basketball courts, jogging/walking paths, picnic amenities, playground, restrooms and a sand volleyball court.
