The Fort Amherst Port Authority Small Boat Basin is located in the narrows of St. John's Harbour. It's also known as Prosser's Rock.

The docking facility is used by more than 200 boats up to 65 ft long. Originally, it was designed for skiffs up to 30 ft in length.

With a recent announcement of a $40 million investment from Ottawa in Newfoundland's small craft harbours, Fort Amherst is due to start an expansion next summer to be completed by 2020. This will mean better and safer facilities for those working out of this location. Fishing isn't just in the outports...it's right here in the city. This is probably the only boat basin in the province where you can order a pizza a midnight!
There once was a cache here, but it was gone before I could get it. If you found that cache, this one should be easy.
