This cache is placed in honor of Admiral Frank B Kelso II, who was born and raised in Fayetteville Tennessee. He served in the United States Navy for thirty eight years and was the Chief of Naval Operations from 1990 to 1994. He was honored by the City of Fayetteville and Lincoln County with July 11, 2018 (and every July 11th after that) being proclaimed Admiral Frank Kelso Day. On Saturday, July 14, 2018 the inaugural Fayetteville Lincoln County Tennessee Hometown Heroes honored him at the museum.
