Cache Is Not At The Posted Coordinates
Mr. Toot is the mascot not only of the North Iowa Band Festival, but also for Mason City as a whole. His image has appeared on everything from T-Shirts to business cards to city light poles. Now his image also appears on the geocaching map just south of Mason City Iowa. Each of these puzzles will include a fact or story in theme with the art series. Some may also include a question or two for you to answer correctly to find the coordinates.
Meredith Willson
In 1950 Willson served as Musical Director for The California Story, the Golden State's centennial production at the Hollywood Bowl. It was through working on this production that Willson met writer Franklin Lacey who proved instrumental in developing the story line for a musical Willson had been working on, so to be known as The Music Man.

The California Story spectacular was followed by two more state centennial collaborations with stage director Vladimir Rosing: The Oregon Story in 1959 and The Kansas Story in 1961.
