Gauteng West Rand Black Eagle GeoArt Series

Welcome to the West Rand, Gauteng! The West Rand Geocaching Community is very proud to present BLACK EAGLE GEOART, the only GeoArt to date in South Africa depicting the rare Black Eagle! Apart from its rich cultural history, the West Rand in Gauteng, South Africa is also home to an extremely active Geocaching community. The West Rand Geocachers are a social bunch and meet at least once every month to share stories, swap experiences and trackables and enjoy each others company.  We hope you will enjoy exploring the beauty of the West Rand, Gauteng!

PLEASE NOTE: THE CACHE IS NOT AT THE POSTED COORDINATES. YOU MUST USE THE INFORMATION BELOW TO SOLVE THE PUZZLE FOR THE FINAL COORDINATES. S 26 0,ABC and E 027 40,DEF A = The number of sides of an octagon. B = The number of sides of a nonagon. C = The number of sides of a heptagon. D = The number of sides of a pentagon minus the number of sides of a triangle. E = The number of sides of a hexagon. F = The number of sides of a pentagon. The geocache is a sliding tube puzzle. Hold the small end (lid with hook) in your left hand and the tube end in your right hand. Turn the tube end away from you, it should click and turn. Now twist and pull the tube end GENTLY away from the lid end. PLEASE DO NOT FORCE IT. You have to push the tube once closer to the lid end to keep it moving. PLEASE BE GENTLE. Twist and wiggle and it will come loose. Close the tube once finished by pushing the tube over the pattern. Click it into place when finished.
