SLOVENSKO:
Opuščena planina Bala, ki se nahaja severovzhodno od Bavšice, je idealen kraj če se hočete odmakniti od sveta in turističnega vrveža v dolini Soče. S planine se nam odpre lep razgled na okoliške vrhove.
Opis poti (pribl. 1 h 30 min hoje):
S parkirišča (glej izhodiščne koordinate in waypoint PARKING) se usmerimo na levo slabšo cesto v smeri zavetišča pod Špičkom in planine Bala (desno Bavški Grintavec) ter ji sledimo slabih 5 minut do mesta, kjer nas markacije usmerijo levo na sprva široko peš pot. Pot se kmalu zoži in nas pripelje do manjšega razpotja, kjer nas markacije usmerijo ostro desno, na postopoma vse bolj strmo stezico. Pot se kmalu položi in nas pripelje do opuščene vasice Logje. Le nekaj metrov s poti je pitna voda.
Od vasice Logje nadaljujemo po markirani stezi, ki se nadaljuje čez zložno travnato pobočje. Naprej se pot nekoliko strmeje vzpne in preide na deloma kamniti svet (melišča preraščena z visoko travo). Pot se nato ponovno položi in preide v strnjen gozd, kjer se nato nadaljuje vse do opuščene planine Bala, kjer se nahaja zaklad.
Izlet lahko podaljšamo do naslednjih ciljev: Lovska koča Bala (20 min), Zavetišče pod Špičkom (4 h 15 min), Plešivec (Loška stena) (3 h), Mali Ozebnik (3 h 30 min), Briceljk (3 h 30 min). (vir: hribi.net)

Planina Bala is an abandoned alpine pasture, located northeast of the little settlement Bavšica. It is the perfect place to find some peace of mind and get away from all the tourist hassle in the busy Soča valley. From the pasture you can enjoy beautiful views to the surrounding mountains.
How to get to planina Bala (ca. 1 h 30 min walking time):
From the parking (see waypoint PARKING) take the little dirt road in the direction of Zavetišča pod Špičkom (mountain hut, open in summer season) and planina Bala. Close to the parking you will also find a red sign with directions on it. Follow this little road for about 5 minutes until you reach a spot where the markers will guide you to the left, onto a wide path. After a short while this path will get narrower and you will soon come to another crossing. Follow the markers to the right (sharp turn to the right!). Gradually the path will get steeper before it flattens out and you reach the abandoned little village of Logje. Just a few meters away from the path you will find drinking water.
From here just follow the marked path. Soon you will reach a grassy/wildflower meadow which you will have to cross. Then the path becomes a bit steeper and will take you over a stony scree slope overgrown with high grass. Soon afterwards you will enter a dense forest. Once you have left the forest, the mountain pasture Bala and its treasure are just a few minutes away.
From the mountain pasture Bala you can continue your hike to the following targets and summits: Lovska koča Bala / hunter's lodge Bala (20 min), Zavetišče pod Špičkom (4 h 15 min), Plešivec (Loška stena) (3 h), Mali Ozebnik (3 h 30 min), Briceljk (3 h 30 min).
Close to the hunter's lodge Bala you will find another source with drinking water.

DEUTSCH:
Die verlassene Bergalm Bala befindet sich nordöstlich des kleinen Weilers Bavšica und ist der perfekte Ort, um für ein paar Stunden dem Alltagsstress oder dem touristischen Treiben im Sočatal zu entfliehen. Von der Alm hat man wunderbare Ausblicke auf die umliegenden Gipfel.
Wegbeschreibung (ca. 1 h 30 min Gehzeit):
Vom Parkplatz (siehe waypoint PARKING) begibst du dich auf eine Schotterstraße, die dich in Richtung Zavetišča pod Špičkom (im Sommer bewirtete Berghütte) und planina Bala führt. Ganz in der Nähe des Parkplatzes findest du übrigens auch ein rotes Hinweisschild mit Infos zu Zielen und Gehzeiten. Nach ca. 5 Minuten kommst du an eine Abzweigung, wo dich die Markierungen nach links auf einen anfangs recht breiten Gehweg führen. Nach kurzer Gehzeit wird dieser Weg enger und du kommst an eine weitere Weggabelung. Hier folgst du den Markierungen scharf nach rechts auf einen steiler werdenden Weg. Bald wird es wieder flacher und du erreichst das verlassene Dörflein Logje. Nur einige Meter vom Weg entfernt findest du übrigens eine Quelle mit Trinkwasser.
Von hier folgst du einfach immer weiter den Markierungen. Bald kommst du zu einer wunderschönen Blumenwiese, die zu überqueren ist. Danach wird es wieder etwas steiler und steiniger. Nach einem mit Gras überwachsenen Geröllfeld geht es in einen dichten Wald. Sobald du diesen wieder verlassen hast, sind es nur noch wenige Minuten bis zur Alm und ihrem Schatz.
Von der Alm Bala kannst du deine Wanderung zu den folgenden Zielen und Gipfeln fortsetzen: Lovska koča Bala / Jagdhütte Bala (20 min), Zavetišče pod Špičkom (4 h 15 min), Plešivec (Loška stena) (3 h), Mali Ozebnik (3 h 30 min), Briceljk (3 h 30 min).
In der Nähe der Jagdhütte Bala gibt es eine weitere Quelle mit Trinkwasser.
