Geocache Description:

The Bandit series of caches will take you round a series of information boards that tell you of the history of the little visited area around Dinas Mawddwy.  Here you will find yourself up an interesting valley, in a tiny hamlet called Llanymawddwy.

The road is a drovers road used for driving cattle to market in England. The road climbs spectacularly up to Bwlch Y Groes. Drovers would rest in the village, where there were seven pubs! There hardly seems to be seven houses now.

The church has a medieval font, and some interesting stained glass windows.

Llanymawddwy is also famous for two giants, Llywelyn Fawr and Cawr Mawddwy. Extra large human bones were said to have been excavated near here!!!!
