Cache Is Not At The Posted Coordinates
Mr. Toot is the mascot not only of the North Iowa Band Festival, but also for Mason City as a whole. His image has appeared on everything from T-Shirts to business cards to city light poles. Now his image also appears on the geocaching map just south of Mason City Iowa. Each of these puzzles will include a fact or story in theme with the art series. Some may also include a question or two for you to answer correctly to find the coordinates.

Bob Logan of Clear Lake was the high school’s assistant band director. “The marching band competition was really fantastic,” he said. “It was something to see. “And I remember seeing the movie stars — Shirley Jones and Ronnie Howard and Robert Preston.” Logan said the movie premiere was supposed to start at 10 p.m. at the Palace Theater in Mason City but didn’t start until about 11:30. “I think some people slept through it. I didn’t. It was a good movie,” he said.
I couln't find an old picture of the Palace Theater but did find one of the old Park 70. It is period correct as I believe that is a 1961 Chevy Biscayne that is parked in the street.
