After (Kronski's )nearby Yellow Submarine cache got muggled, he decided to place a new cache in a less visible spot along this glorious Tweed River location. It is still being muggled so trying another close by location to see if we can keep people visiting this beautiful stop on the river. There is also a BBQ and undercover seating in this location.
It is named after the late novelist Iris Murdoch as I've just read the book by her partner, John Bayley, named "Iris: a memoir of Iris Murdoch'. The book is a memoir of his life with Iris, who developed Alzheimer's disease in her later years. Iris loved to swim in lakes, rivers and streams and I think that she would have loved swimming in the Tweed river, and at the nearby beaches. Well worth reading. It was also made into a film.
