Mr. Toot is the mascot not only of the North Iowa Band Festival, but also for Mason City as a whole. His image has appeared on everything from T-Shirts to business cards to city light poles. Now his image also appears on the geocaching map just south of Mason City Iowa. Each of these puzzles will include a fact or story in theme with the art series. Some may also include a question or two for you to answer correctly to find the coordinates.

Kinney Pioneer Museum, located on Hwy 122 W at the entrance to the Mason City Airport is a historical museum that preserves and displays the pioneer way of life in rural north central Iowa. The museum includes exhibits and displays on early agricultural artifacts, amenities and social practices of the past, as well as their relationship to the growth of industry, education and the cities and towns of the area.
The 1911 Colby Model D Semi-racer at Kinney Pioneer Museum is the only surviving Colby car.
