Balance is an important trait to have in a circus. Falling over or off something is a recipe for disaster (unless you are acting the clown). You have to be able to walk in a straight line with your eyes fixed on your goal, always mindful of taking missteps. Balance in life is an important trait for a geocacher as this hobby should be enjoyable and not an obsession (like all hobbies). Having balance while searching can also be important when crossing streams and searching though rocky areas but we know a straight line is not always the shortest distance.
This cache qualifies for the 2018 Battle Ground Geocoin Challenge! This year our theme is the circus - in each cache you will find a code word for a circus skill - note this on your registration card.
The rules for the challenge:
- The Battle Ground Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to modify the rules at any time and for any reason.
- There is a limit of one Geocoin per geocaching family.
- The standard rules and disclaimers that apply to all geocaches apply to this challenge.
- You must find and log on geocaching.com and enter on your registration card a minimum of 6 of the 8 qualifying geocaches plus 2 more geocaches of your choice from the Battle Ground area. We are looking for the brilliant picture included with each cache hide. The list of 8 qualifying caches will be in a file on each of the cache pages and on the event page GC77N11. The Battle Ground area is defined as between NE 119th St to the South, NE 319th St to the North, NE 232nd Ave to the East and NE 72nd Ave to the West.
- Your 8 caches have to be found within 30 days of requesting your Geocoin from the Battle Ground Chamber of Commerce.
- To claim your Geocoin, turn in your completed registration card to the Battle Ground Chamber of Commerce information booth (waypoint on the event cache page) on Saturday July 21st. After the Harvest Days event, the Geocoin can be picked up at the Battle Ground Best Western at 1419 W Main St any hour of the day.
