Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Route 75 gadget trail

This gadget cache trail starts in Blackridge and follows the National cycle route 75 to Armadale. If you are visiting the trial on public transport then I would recommend getting off the train at Blackridge and back on at Armadale once finished. If you are driving I would recommend Parking at Armadale station then taking the train to Blackridge and taking the route back. I have linked a map below to show the route from the train station to the start of the trail as it is not the most clear.

Basically you take the road out of the station up to the main road (A89) turn left then your next left again on to Harthill Road. When you pass under the railway bridge the start of the trail is on the left.

The National Cycle Route 75 runs from Edinburgh to Gourock via Glasgow. It is often known as the Clyde to Forth cycle route. It then extends via the ferry from Gourock to Dunoon onto the Cowal peninsula to Portavadie from where another ferry connects on to the Kintyre peninsula. You can find out more about the Cycle Route Here.

At the moment the tail consist of 8 caches all hopefully a little bit different from what you are used to finding. I hope to add a few more caches to this trail in the coming months but it is mainly finished.

Please be gentle with these caches. Most of them use micro controllers and custom circuitry to work. I know it is fun to find out how things work but please feel free to pop me a message to find this out rather than taking anything apart. No special tools apart from a 9V battery are required to solve any of the caches on this trail.

About the Cache

Please remember to take a 9V battery with you.

This Cache is based on the 1978 game Simon. You must play the games to unlock the cache and sign the logbook.

One at the container follow the instruction on the inside of the door. Once you get it right 8 times in a row the lower door will unlock.

After you've signed the log and traded swag, put the cache container back inside and close the bottom door - it should click and stay shut. The only way to reopen this door is the replay the game. Please make sure you remove your batteries and that the front door is shut securely.

This is cache 1 of the Route 75 Gadget trail

Congratulations to QueenLucyDaffodil for FTF
