With the October, 2018, projected opening of the new Sanford High School/Regional Vocational Technical Center/Community Performing Arts Center south of the center of Sanford (It's in back of Burger King/KFC/Taco Bell on Main Street), the active and forward-looking Sanford Trails Committee is diligently working to develop/build a 'off-Main St' biking and walking path from the former high school (on the Sanford-Springvale town line) to the new facility. This cache introduces cachers to a newly completed section of this large and continuing project.
Oh the tales of constructing and refining this slope we could tell -- but we won't!! Suffice to say, the trail committee's tenacity won out. You are looking for a bison tube hidden like my other trailhead hides (if you've found any of those)
