Geocache Description:

Long ago, when I started caching, I found a cache here called Shake Rattle and Roll

GCT9WQ
hidden by Rankin. It was one of my first finds. Back then Geocaching was still magically simple and new to me. I remember these first caches fondly. Not only that, I have adopted a few of them including my first cache find!

So, on to this cache: this one was awesome, my first night cache! I found it at dusk. It had a little danger aka Golden orb spiders with their massive webs across the trail. A small creek ahead on the trail, and previous logs stating that they have spotted a snake or two on the trail. Of course, this is Lower Alabama, snakes and spiders are everywhere.

I recommend parking at the guardrail near GZ. The trail to the cache is to the right of the guardrail, about 8 feet wide and graded well enough for a wheelchair. (The cache unfortunately is not a wheelchair cache, but with a helper, it still can be fun for our wheel bound BFFs.)

Bring a flashlight to get to and from GZ safely. The coordinates are +/- 20 feet. Once you get to the trail, put away your flashlight and GPSr and do what the title says. You should not have to leave the trail to see the cache, but you will to sign the log. Please follow Leave no trace rules.

Please indicate if there are any problems in your log. I have notifications active on this cache. Please only write "Needs Maintenance" logs if you found the cache and it indeed "Needs Maintenance". If you can't find it, a "DNF" or "Note" will be warranted.
