Geocache Description:


Vernon Earl 'The Pearl' Monroe was a professional basketball player picked 2nd overall by the Baltimore Bullets in the 1967 NBA draft and played 14 seasons for the Bullets and the New York Knicks.

In his first season he averaged 24.3 points per game and was honored as the rookie of the year. He was also selected to four all-star teams and was elected to the basketball Hall of Fame in 1990.
