Sir Kay –
Kay is Arthur’s foster brother. He is portrayed in a number of different ways, depending on the author of the tale, but he’s always steadfast in the service of Arthur. He is the reason that Arthur draws the sword of Uther from the stone – Arthur forgets Sir Kay sword at home and needs the sword in the stone to replace it. Kay can be portrayed as everything from foppish to fierce, but he is a central character in the tale.
