Hvítárvatn is a lake in the Highlands of Iceland and the source of the glacial river Hvítá. It is located 45 km northeast of Gullfoss waterfall. Its surface is about 30 km⊃2; and its greatest depth is 84 m.
The Cache is in the middle of nowhere at the F35 road - to make the drive even more exciting for you. The area is surrounded by gravel, river and mountains. Enjoy the view and the silence until the next crazy driver approaches. Maybe you will meet horse riders.
Approach: Be sure you have an 4x4 vehicle with you. Be sure the road is not closed during winter time. Please drive carefully or you have a super funny Jeep. Be aware that off road driving is prohibited. Please use the bridge - you have to go there anyway...
