Geocache Description:

The Angels and Demons series has been developed to cater to all caching skill levels.   There is something for everybody on this route; simplistic finds for those starting out, and more challenging ones for the more experienced cacher.   There is also a variety of cache types, so that those that enjoy a particular cache type might find a favourite one here, whilst those that do not enjoy certain caches won't see too many of them to do!   It is also very good for less experienced cachers to get to grips with a new type of cache whilst finding many more that they are familiar with in the same route.

The caches are structured so that there won't be too many of the same type of cache back to back either, mixing it up for you along the route.   Although the series has been designed to be completed in one run, it is perfectly possible to pick up bits and come back on a different day for more of a challenge if you would rather.   We have labelled each cache as either an angel or a demon, too, so as to help guide any cacher in what they can expect from that cache!   Not all of the angels will be simple, but they will still be easier than the demons so pick your fights wisely!

The series is best enjoyed by walking, although every cache has purposefully been placed close to the roadside to make it possible for completing the route by car.   A lot of the caches will require precision which only walking can achieve (such as the Wherigos), but we have tried to make this series possible for all to complete by their chosen method.   On a nice day these quiet back roads can be a very pleasant walk though, and so this method is recommended by us.

This cache is not hidden at the posted co-ordinates, but this is where you will need to start from in order to find the necessary information to locate the final cache.   To find these co-ordinates you will require an altimeter and a pedometer.

At the posted co-ordinates take note of your altitude.   Set your pedometer to zero, and then continue up the road to the finishing co-ordinates.   Once here, take note of your new altitude, and also how many steps it has taken you to reach this point.

NOTE: It has been found by early cachers that measuring the altitude is incredibly difficult as different Apps give different readings, sometimes by over 100 metres! I have therefore edited the formula below to match the reading given by www.whatismyelevation.com. When using this website, select 'USE WEB' rather than 'use phone'. On testing we have found that this will give exactly the same reading each time at each of the two locations.

Altitude at Posted Co-ordinates = ABC metres

Altitude at Finishing Co-ordinates = DEF metres

Number of steps taken ROUNDED to the nearest 400 = GHI
