Forest Minions: From all the Forest Minions:

We would like to thank you so much for spending the weekend with us in the middle of the woods. Though sheer willpower and a lot of luck we were able to avoid chiggers, ticks, and alien abduction.......well.......mostly!

This event is made great by all of you! Everyone who attends to share stories of the days adventures, chomp down on some yummy grub, mingle at camp with old friends along with making new ones, offering up extra jeep seats, catching an eerie flick, and campfire stories with melty s'mores and burnt popcorn.

Some of us are skipping this years hibernation and already starting on plans for next year. Florida's first ever MEGA geocaching event is going to be celebrating its 15th year in 2019. We are a bit smaller in size now, but our heart is bigger then ever. Next years event will be October 17th through October 20th, 2019. Thanks to each and every one of you for your continued support and we look forward to playing in the woods with you again next year!

Thursday, October 18, 2018 from 6:00pm until 7:00pm


Join us to kick off an adventurous weekend full of Finds, Fellowship, and Food in the Ocala National Forest!


For those of us lucky enough to escape work early and take a long weekend, come mingle with cachers that like to start the party early. Hot dogs and all the fixin's will be ready for eating from 6:00-7:00. We'll get together to strategize about the weekend, catch up with friends, meet some new ones, and share caching stories.

Hot dogs, buns, condiments, and bottled water will be provided. You are not required to bring anything to share. If you would like to here is our suggestion, if your caching name begins with the letters:

A - H : Side dish - baked beans, etc

I - P : Chips or other snacky snacks

Q - Z: Dessert -cookies, etc


Please log your "will attend" and how many in your party so we can estimate the amount of food needed. We are looking forward to seeing everyone - old friends and new alike - for finds, fellowship and food - here's to another great FFF in the forest!!!
