Geocache Description:

The Claverham Cavalcade of Caches is a series of caches around the North Somerset village of Claverham. There are no stiles to cross nor mud to wade through, in fact it would be an ideal series to do on one of those winter days when the Geocaching bug bites you but all the fields are covered in mud as the whole of this series is placed on quiet country lanes. Yes, the lanes are quiet but this doesn't mean that cars, bicycles or horses might not come round a bend at speed so please keep geokiids under control and geohounds on leads.

This is not a Cache and Dash series - the lanes are not big enough for a car to be parked up while you go and search. Park on one of the side roads in the village but please take care not to block local residents' access or make it difficuIt to park or access their driveways (the village hall car park is only to be used by hirers of the hall). The walk is of just under 3 miles in length and could be done on a bike although I would recommend exercising the legs! The lanes are in a good state of repair so there is wheelchair access although you will need a hand to reach some of the caches.

Finally, I would welcome helpful comments - this is my first series - and if you do find a full log sheet please let me know so I can pop out and replace. Now...enjoy the Claverham Cavalcade of Caches!

Number 1  - Claverham was originally a farming hamlet on the North Somerset levels and may well have been named after the clover fields which surround the village. The first cache is a small magnetic cache which blends in well but the hiding place does not make use of its magnetic capabilities - you will need an implement or a small finger to extract it; please replace it securely.

Please replace securely from underneath and ensure cap is in place - thanks.

Congratulations ImaginaryScribbles for FTF!
