Kuusiston aarre on tradikätkö, jonka löytäjää odottaa oikea aarre! Kätkössä olevia tavaroita saa vaihtaa periaatteella: yksi raha yhdestä rahasta ja muu tavara muusta vaihtotavarasta. Jos vaihdat rahoja, vaihturiksi kelpaa vain oikea raha (kaikki valuutat sallittuja)! Setelit kuitenkin kielletty kosteuden takia. Myös travel bugeille kätkö on erinomainen paikka. Tilaa löytyy M-koon aarrearkusta mukavasti. Palautathan loggaamisen jälkeen aarrearkun takaisin paikalleen kuivalle alustalle ja säältä suojaan.
Kuusistossa elää aika harvojen tuntema legenda saareen piilotetusta aarteesta. Vain yksi runonmitta on jäänyt elämään tapahtumasta:
Tähystyspaikalt' katsoi tuo vartija valpas
kun horisonttiin laski aurinko kirkas
sielt' kivenheiton päähän hautas arkun harmaan
nuo hopearahat kalliit ikiturvaan varmaan.
Aikojen saatossa on unohtunut, onko aarre peräisin Suomen sodan ajalta pelastetuista rahoista ennen kuin Lemun ranta Kuusiston salmen toisella puolella muuttui taistelukentäksi. Vai onko se vielä vanhempaa perua viikinkien ryöstöretkien ajalta paikallisten asukkaiden pelastamista säästöistä ennen niiden päätymistä raakalaisten ryöstämäksi. Vai onko se sittenkin vasta viime vuosisadalta? Joka tapauksessa sen voi löytää vain se, joka osaa lukea kallioita kuin omaa käsialaansa. Harva paikallisasukaskaan tuntee enää tätä legendaa, joten paras tapa selvittää asia, on käydä paikalla itse. Kallioilla liikkuessasi noudata varovaisuutta, varsinkin sadesäällä. Jos käyt kätköllä talvella, noudata erityistä varovaisuutta.
Tälle kätkölle saapuessasi huomaa, että vain merkitylle P-paikalle vievä tie on sallittu ajoreitti. Muut saman tien haarat ovat yksityisteitä, joilla ajaminen on kielletty. Lähde kalliolle merkityn polun päästä. Älä kulje yksityistietä kesämökkien tonteille. Piilotathan aarteen huolella takaisin samaan paikkaan samalla tavalla, että se ei joudu asiattomiin käsiin.

Kuusiston aarre (the Treasure of Kuusisto) is a trad. cache, where a real treasure is waiting for its finder! You can exchange the things in the cache with a principle: one coin against one coin and one other item from another item. If you exchange money, it is only allowed to bring real money in (all currencies allowed)! However, no notes please due to moisture. The cache also welcomes all travel bugs. There is plenty of space in this M size treasury box. After logging, please return the treasure chest back to its place, where it is on a dry surface and protected from weather.
Few know a legend about a hidden treasure in Kuusisto. Only a short verse has remained until today:
From a view spot so high looked the guard so bright
when sun went down and disappeared the light
all silver coins he took and hid his grey chest
inside granite and finished the enemies' quest.
Over the years it has been forgotten, whether the origin of the treasure is from the years of the Finnish war when money was rescued before Lemu coastline across the strait became a battlefield. Or is it even from an older era when the vikings attacked and locals hid their savings from being stolen by the brutal invaders. Or is it yet from the last century? Anyway, the legend says that a treasure was brought to Kuusisto and it can be found only by the one who can read the rocks like his/her own handwriting. Few local inhabitants know this legend today, so the best way to find out is to visit the place yourself! When walking on the rocks, be careful especially during rain. If you go there in the winter, please be very careful when moving on the rocks.
Note that the only allowed road to the area is the one coming to the marked parking place. The side roads are private where driving is prohibited. Enter the terrain from the marked trailhead. Do not go to the private properties along the private road after the parking place. Please put the treasure box carefully back to the same place hidden in the same way after you have logged.
