This is the 7th cache placed as part of the Friendly Invasion Geocaching Event on July 29, 2018 (and replaced and relocated on June 25, 2019).
There is no way to explore Stephenville without walking some of the scenic trails in the area and one of the nicest is the improved trail surrounding the old water supply at Ned's Pond. The first thing you notice when you walk the loop is that local residents have placed painted rocks all around the pond for everyone to see. This was the inspiration for this cache.
The container is a one liter snap-top container hidden close to the intersection of the trail from Route 460 and the actual walking trail. To access the cache, you can walk the trail or simply park at the new water supply on White's Road and walk in - it's not far at all. When you find the cache, please be aware of muggle - lots of foot traffic in the area. In addition, please ensure that it is put back exactly as it was or it will be visible for all that muggle traffic! Once finished, take the time to explore a bit, look at all the local artwork, and just enjoy trail and the view.
Happy Hunting!
