Gut Feeling Traditional Cache

This cache will bring you to a beautiful spot looking out on the Cape Poge Gut-- the water passing between Cape Poge bay and Edgartown outer harbor off the island of Chappaquiddick.  After following North Neck Road to its end (do not drive beyond signs indicating the road becomes a private driveway), you'll find the Cape Poge Gut parking lot on the left.  Then you can follow the marked trail.  Finding the cache does not require venturing off the walkway- please do not disturb the vegetation or sand cliffs.   Some transportation notes: cars can cross on the Chappy ferry from Edgartown, though the ferry line can be long in the summer.  The parking lot could also be reached by bike, though please note that North Neck Road is a dirt road that may be difficult for thin tire bicycles.   Once you're there, you can also enjoy the Martha's Vineyard Landbank trails of the North Neck Highlands Preserve.
