When Howie the Yowie was young, his mumma used to tell him stories about a ferocious large mythical creature that would lurk in swamps, billabongs, creeks, riverbeds, and waterholes. It went by the name of a ‘Bunyip’ and had the head of a crocodile, a tail of a horse, and a body of a giant dog with a long hairy black coat. Of course, Howie never believed in any of this mythical gobbledygook!
Then one day, whilst out chasing drop bears, Howie was up in a tree when he spotted the scariest looking dog-like creature he had ever seen! It was huge and had a large mouth full of razor-sharp teeth and a long tail like a horse. It…it…it…had to be a Bunyip!!! Howie immediately froze in the tree that he was in until the beast moved on. Ever since that day, Howie has always believed in stories of mythological creatures!
