This is the 4th cache placed as part of the Friendly Invasion Geocaching Event.
When Harmon Air Force Base changed from the Northeast Air Command to the Strategic Air Command (SAC) in 1957 the globe was added to the Headquarters location identifying the home of 4081st squadron.
In 1957 SAC assumed control of the base for use as a forward refueling point.
Still to this day, Stephenville airport see many US Air Force plane stop to refuel before and after making trans-Atlantic flights.
The actual cache is a small spice bottle hidden close to the globe. Please note that the area is near an active office building and therefore you should be careful and avoid muggles at all cost! Happy Hunting!
